Open in new windowThe Social and Cultural Development Sector (SCDS) of the Council of Ministers discussed Wednesday a report on the status of scientific research in Sudan. The meeting chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Peter Adok, discussed necessity of listing scientific capabilities to serve society's issues, developing technologies in the all states and encourage the private sector to contribute in indigenizing scientific research and researches in universities in order to transit knowledge to students.
The SCDS discussed another report on the university fees and criteria of exempting insolvent students and confirmed necessity of activating Productive Student Project which aimed at availing opportunity to students to provide some of their financial needs.
