The Institutionalism and Capacity Building Sector (ICBS) of the Council of Ministers has lauded efforts and achievements of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The sector commended the ministry's role in mobilizing efforts of the science and scientists for serving issues and causes of the homeland and citizens, particularly in the remote and rural areas. In its weekly meeting at the Factory of Production and Solar Cells of the Ministry of Science and Technology Tuesday, under chairmanship of the Minister of Manpower Resources, Kamal Abdul-Latif, the sector underlined importance of government support to the plans and programmes of scientific research, calling for creation of a conducive atmosphere for research and researchers to introduce model projects of productive technological applications to attract investments of private sector and to encourage the local and foreign institutions to enter the commercial production field.
The sector underscored necessity of adoption of the ministry to a comprehensive marketing and media plan to enhance the output of scientific research as they represent a major outlet for realization of comprehensive economic Development based on knowledge in order to maximize the benefit and to rationalize exploitation of the resources of the country.
The Minister of Science and Technology Issa Bashari, affirmed the continuation of the ministry to application of scientific research outcome from technologies and know-how, referring to the efforts being exerted in the this regard for production of clean energy from its new and renewed sources by using solar energy, wind and biogas.
