Open in new windowCentral Bank of Sudan (CBOS) Governor and Head of High Committee for Currency exchange issued an administrative directive stipulating that exchanging the bills of SDG10, 20, and 50 of the new currency will continue up to the 1st of September 2011
The directive said that the work in the exchange windows in the commercial banks and its branches will continue the process up to the September 25th for SDG10, 20, and 50
The CBOS Governor said that to enable the citizens exchange their money easily the exchange period will be extended up to 5:00 p.m. daily including the weekends, consider that the CBOS and its branches will continue working during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays up to September 1st
The old bills of SDG1, 2 and 5 will continue till further notice
The directive called on the citizens to expedite changing their currency to accomplish this great national project as required
