President of the Republic Omer Albashir received Monday at the premises of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers the special envoy of the President of South Africa. The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations and means of boosting them further in all domains.
The South African presidential envoy said that his meeting with President Albashir touched on a number of issues of importance to the African continent, particularly the issues due to be discussed by the coming African Union Summit. The South African special envoy described the meeting as successful and fruitful.
In a separate development, President Albashir was briefed Monday on efforts of the government of the White Nile State to provide the citizens with the necessary services and implementing development projects, particularly at the agricultural sector and water projects. This came when the President Albashir received in his office at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers the governor of the White Nile State Yousif Al-Shanbali.
The governor said in a statement to the press that he assured the President of the Republic on the prevalence of stability and security in his State, particularly at the borders with the Republic of South Sudan. He briefed the President of the Republic on the efforts to provide the Sudanese citizens who returned from South Sudan with shelter, education and health services.
