The Turkish newspaper Akit interviewed Monday the President of the Republic Omer Albashir, who focused on the relations between Sudan and Turkey and Sudan stances concerning regional and international issues. President Albashir affirmed Sudan's keenness to maintain the Turkish Investments in Sudan, expressing his appreciation over progress of the investments, including the establishment of bridges, hospitals and other infrastructural projects.
On the separation of South Sudan, President Albashir affirmed that Sudan has taken all the necessary actions to realize peace, reiterating Sudan keenness to realize stability. He accused certain circles of working to instigate war and sedition in Sudan, explaining that the government has worked to realize stability and succeeded in doing so.
On the Palestinian question, President Albashir commended in the interview with Akit of Turkey the stance of the Turkish government concerning the Palestinian issue, Quds and the situation in the Arab arena, indicating that the Arab arena is the strategic depth for Turkey. President Albashir affirmed Sudan keenness to support the unity of the Islamic World, renewing his appreciation of the Arab Spring Revolutions in the region.
