The President of the Republic Omer Albashir issued Republican Decrees cutting the allocations and privileges for the officials assuming constitutional positions in a confirmation to the policies and measures that he announced last Monday before the National Legislature and to cope with the policy of rationalization of governmental spending. The First Decree dealt with a directive to the Ministries of the Presidency of the Republic and the Council of Ministers in the federal government to cancel assigning for the official's service.
The Second Decree stipulated determining the use of official vehicle for the constitutional position holders in the states, while the third Decree has suspended issuing local and external air tickets for two years. The President of the Republic further directed the governors of States not to create new localities unless they consult the Presidency of the Republic.
