The Sudan's Islamic Fiqh Academy announces that today Saturday 18th of August 2012 is the last day of the Holy fasting Month of Ramadan 1433H and that the first day of Eid Alfitr will be on Sunday 19th August 2012.
A statement issued by the Islamic Fiqh Academy said due to the lack of evidence of sighting the new crescent Friday evening, it decided that Saturday corresponding to 18/8/2012 is the complementary day of Ramadan 1433 H. and that Sunday corresponding to 1/10/1433 H. falls on the 19th of August 2012 is the first day of Eid Alfitr which falls on the first day of the month of Shawal 1433 H.
