The Minister of Social Welfare Amira Al-Fadil chaired a meeting of the higher committee for supporting the poorest families in all states of Sudan, attended by the state minister of Social Welfare Ibrahim Adam, minister of social development in Khartoum State Mashaer Al-Dolab, director general of Saving Bank and deputy secretary general of Azakat (Alms) Chamber.
The meeting reviewed the technical, administrative and logistical arrangements to complete the first stage of supporting 100.000 poor families in September, and commencement of the current stage to support 150.000 families next month. The program targets supporting 250.000 poorest families all over Sudan based on a survey made by the Zakat Science Institute.
