The Forum of the Parliaments of the Great Lakes' region has selected Sudan as the Chairman of the current session of the region's Parliament. Chairman of the National Legislature and Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, assumed the chairmanship of the current session of the Parliament of the Great Lakes Region.
