The Forum of the Parliaments of the Great Lakes' region has selected Sudan as the Chairman of the current session of the region's Parliament.
Chairman of the National Legislature and Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, assumed the chairmanship of the current session of the Parliament of the Great Lakes Region.
The forum has selected Congo - Kinshasa as the headquarters of the Great Lakes' Parliament, while Rwanda selected as its Secretary General
In a press statement, Al-Tahir said that these decisions of the forum were taken by consensus of the conferees, adding that Sudan has led this consensus
