Open in new windowThe federal Health Minister, Abdalla Tiya Guma'a, Monday discussed with the Swiss Ambassador to Khartoum aspects of the cooperation in heath field between Sudan and Switzerland.
The Minister affirmed importance of the cooperation between Sudan and Switzerland in the spheres of exchange of expertise and the training of health cadres
The Swiss Ambassador said that Switzerland is ready to provide training and qualification for the Sudanese health cadres.
In a separate development, the federal Ministry of Health announced that it has dispatched a medical mission composed of eight Sudanese doctors of different medical specializations to the Republic of Chad, in the framework of the health cooperation protocol which was signed between the two countries. The measure came in implementation of a directive of the President of the Republic, Omer Al-Bashir .
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Kamal Abdul-Gadir, said in a press statement that the Ministry has agreed to provide training for 50 Chadian health cadres and to make available opportunities for 10 others to obtain medical specializations in Sudan.
It is to be recalled that the Sudanese medical mission has started its work in Chad since second day of current October and will continue its work there till November 13.
