The Minister of Defence, Gen. Abdul-Rahim Mohamed Hussien, has affirmed the Armed Forces' capability to crush the forces of rebellion and evil which are targeting the homeland and the citizens .
This came in his address to s celebration held yesterday for seeing off battalions of the Security and Intelligence organ which are leaving to the frontline and the operation zones .
Gen. Hussein said that the Armed Forces, backed up by the forces of the Security and Intelligence Organ and the other regular forces, is moving ahead for realizing its goals .
He lauded the sacrifices of the Security and Intelligence forces which remained supporting the Armed Forces at all locations with a high level of patriotism and distinguished performance for securing the homeland
He said that the Security and Intelligence battalions have realized victories in the Blue Nile and backed up the Armed Forces in Darfur and South Kordofan .
The celebration was also addressed by the General Director of the Security and Intelligence Organ, Gen. Mohamed Attal-Moula, who stressed that the Security and Intelligence will remain a strong boost to the Armed Forces and the Mujahideen at all the operation zones
He affirmed the capability of the Armed Forces, the Mujahideen, the Security and Intelligence .

The Minister of Social Welfare, Mashaer Al-Dawalab, has issued a ministerial decree on formation a higher committee for support to the states affected by the rebellion .
The committee is headed by a number of officials at the Ministry of Social Welfare, civil society organizations and other concerned organs
The higher committee is assigned to work for supervision and arrangements of the support convoys helping the citizens who were affected by the recent incidents in South and North Kordofan .
The support is currently provided for Al-Rahad area, while the assistance will later be extended to Abu-Karshola area .

The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, has called on the Security Council to approve sending 1126 additional international peace-keeping troops to Abyei area ..
In a report he forwarded to the Security Council, the UN Secretary General said that the existence of armed groups in Abyei area is still posing a remarkable threat, a matter that necessitates boosting the UN peace-keeping force and increasing its number . In a press statement, the Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Ambassador bu-Bakr Al-Siddiq, said that the call of the UN Secretary General for increasing the number of the peace-keeping force at Abyei came in the context of a recent agreement between Sudan and South Sudan State and the UN for protection of the disarmed zone, which includes Abyei area according to the agreements which were signed recently .
It is to be recalled that the existing UN Interim Force for Abyei (UNISFA) is composed of 4000 troops, most of them are Ethiopians, while the maximum number allowed, according to the Security Council resolution, is 4200 peace-keeping troops .

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Ahmed Karti and the Director of the National Security and Intelligence Gen. Mohamed Atta Al-mula have returned , Friday to the country after one day official visit to the State of South sudan .
during their meeting with the President of South Sudan state at his office in Juba in the presence of his Foreign Minister Niyal Deng and Sudan's Ambassador to South Sudan Moutrif Sideeq the two envoys of the President of the Republic Omer Al Basher have conveyed to the president of South Sudan concerns of Sudan on continuation of support of South sudan to the rebels movements against Sudan and forwarded an explanation on the information available to the Sudan's concerned organs on the military and logistical support and the facilitations for movement and transportation that the armed movements still receive across the border between the two countries .
President Silva Kiir has promised to consider and verify these information and concerns, stressing that his country had no desire to harm the interests of Sudan, reiterating their commitment to the matrix agreements recently signed between the two countries .
He pointed out that he would meet with President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir on the sidelines of the African Union Summit scheduled to be held in Addis Ababa in the last week of current May during which he would discuss with him all these concerns and issues of the relationship between the two countries .
During the meeting the two sides have agreed on enhancing direct communications with the concerned organs of the two countries and to activate work of the joint mechanisms between them .

The Foreign Minister, Ali Ahmed Karti, and the General Director of the Security and Intelligence Organ, Gen. Mohamed Atta, are due to visit today South Sudan State to convey a message from the President of South Sudan, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, to the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, dealing with the bilateral relations .
Karti and Gen. Atta will be accompanied by the Director of South Sudan Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Badr-Eddin Abdalla, and the Director of the Foreign Minister's office, Ambassador Ahmed Yousif .
