Open in new windowDeputy Chairman of the National Congress in Khartoum State, Dr. Mandour Al-Mahdi, said that the government will not allow any circle in North Sudan to carry out a hostile activity against the South.
In a press conference he held yesterday, Dr. Al-Mahdi affirmed the National Congress keenness that the relation between the North and the South as one which is characterized by security, stability and mutual respect.
Dr. Al-Mahdi said that the government is keen to engage in comprehensive dialogue that does not exclude any one, indicating that the dialogue will focus on the form of governance in Sudan, the Constitution and maintaining the Islamic Sharia.

Open in new windowThe Justice Minister, Maulana Mohammed Bushara Dossa directed activation of the law against illegal and suspicious wealth, especially provisions that bind those in senior leadership positions to provide financial disclosure with the activation of a mechanism to examine these on a regular basis.
Dossa directed the attorney office of public funds to investigate any information concerning the assault on public funds and ensure their validity and take appropriate action no matter what the alleged violation.
Dossa stressed, during his surprise visit to attorney offices of public funds and control of illegal and suspect wealth, yesterday, the need for the said office of attorney to establish necessary mechanisms in different governmental bodies that enable them to identify irregularities that may be committed or is committing at an early stage and do not wait to submit complaints regarding this

Open in new windowPresident of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al- Bashir, received Sunday message from the Eritrean President, Issais Afwerki dealing with the bilateral relations and ways of strengthening further the cooperation between the two countries
This came when President Al-Bashir received at the Republican Palace yesterday an Eritrean delegation chaired by the Foreign Minister, Osman Saleh Mohamed, in the presence of the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Hassan Ali
President Al-Bashir, during the meeting, directed the Foreign and Interior Ministries to coordinate with the Eritrean side to work out the agreement allowing the movement of the citizens across the Sudanese - Eritrean borders by the identity card as it considered a major agreement between the two countries which was reached during the recent visit paid to Asmara by President Al-Bashir
The Eritrean Foreign Minister, in a press statements, affirmed the deeply-rooted relations between Khartoum and Asmara as well as his country's keenness to promote them further for the interest of the peoples of the two countries
The Eritrean official said that the meeting also touched on the peace process in Sudan

Open in new windowVice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, assured the citizens of Kas Locality, South Darfur State, that their calls for service and development projects will be turned into an action program that will be implemented by the federal government and the government of the State of South Darfur
Addressing a mass rally at Kas locality Sunday, Taha affirmed the government pledge to establish more units of solar energy for illumination of the area. He also asserted the government commitment to complete establishment of Nyala - Kas - Zalenge
He said that the government is keen to boost the implementation of rural development programs at Kas area and to expand to the scope of the animal and vocational production
Taha has called on the state's government to give concern to enhancing the conditions of the citizens, especially the returnees by rehabilitating their villages and providing education for their children, pledging to provide all the agricultural production for the citizens and to support the implementation of dams and water canals in South Darfur State
He said that the water development project in the state will be completed in the current year 2011
Taha reiterated that the state will never abandon the Sharia method
