President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, who arrived in Addis Ababa to take part at the African Summit
In a press statement , the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Hassan Ali, said that a number of summits will be held on the sidelines of the African Union's summit, including the IGAD, NEPAD and East Africa Brigade summits, besides the consultative meeting which will be attended by the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, representatives of the permanent member states at the Security Council and the neighbouring countries to discuss the issues of Sudan and Somalia
The minister said that the ministerial council of the African Union, which concluded its meetings on Friday, has congratulated Sudan on holding a peaceful and secured referendum on the self-determination of south Sudan
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs said that the ministerial council has reviewed a report on the International Criminal Court and affirmed Africa support to Sudan and President Al-Bashir and reiterated Africa adherence to the decisions which it has adopted in Kampala and Sert
The ministerial council of the African Union has denounced the misconduct of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court toward the African leaders

Vice President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, to inaugurate Al-Selait Dairy Complex, eastern of the Nile in Khartoum State, today.
The area of the complex is 106 feddans among other 15 complexes in Khartoum State that are expected to produce 500 tons of milk daily
The Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources in Khartoum State, Engineer Siddiq Al-Sheikh, said in a press statement that the complex comes within the ministry's program to develop the dairy sector, improve the environment of animal breeding, bring together the services and to improve the collection and handling of milk and to encourage its manufacturing
He said that 145 cowsheds were built out of 320 proposed one, adding that the number of cows in the complex is 3,000 heads of cattle and the plan set to have 25 thousand heads
The minister stated that there was a milk collection unit in the complex as the first stage, adding that the work is underway to establish a factory inside the complex to produce milk and its products
He said the complex contains locations for services such as fodders, artificial insemination and veterinary pharmacies and clinics besides a water purification unit at capacity of 60 meters per hour
Engineer Al-Sheikh pointed out that the complex also has a police station, grocery store, a cafeteria and a unit to spray the flies and insects, explaining that they benefit from animal dung in the manufacturing of organic fertilizers through the factory that locates next to the complex

In the meetings of the Advisory Committee of the International Common Fund for commodities, which were held recently in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, Sudan was selected as the chairman of the fund,as the first country in Africa that attains theis position which remained for long years assumed by Europe, Asia and South America
As the result of the effective participation and the diplomatic presence as well as the technical capabilities Sudan has won the elections held for this position, in the person of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Abdul-Latif Ojaimi, as Chairperson of the Fund Advisor Committee which includes membership of 105 countries member
The fund organizes regional meetings within the round table holding in African, Asian and Latin America's countries with the aim to attraction the regional public attention to a number of important questions concerning the persistent food crisis and its impacts on the country members. In addition to the formulation of innovated approaches towards implementation of new policies bolstering the value of the investments in the regional and international agricultural production to satisfy the escalating need for the food
The activities of the fund represent in financing of basic commodities development fund in the developing countries particularly the less developed ones as well as consolidation of basic goods sector and its diversification as it is the key contributor to the movement of the economic growth and development of the community as the whole
The activities of the fund include bolstering of the socio-economic evolution of the basic commodities' producers with special concentration on the assistance of the goods' producers who own small farms
It is to be recalled that Sudan was elected as the deputy chairperson of the Fund Board of Governors last year within the activities of the 22nd annual meeting held in November hosted by Nigeria as the Sudan Ambassador to the Netherlands, its representative in the Board and Head of Sudan Delegation to the annual meeting at that time, Srajel-Din Hamid Yousuf announced
Ambassador Yousuf explained that the fund was considered specialized international organization and the Fund Board of Governors represents the highest authority in the organization structure, adding that an active executive council carries on implementation of the fund programs and presents annual report to the board of governors which holds its annual meeting alternately between the Netherlands and any of the other member statessults in north Sudan and abroad, asserting that SSRC is to announce the remaining initial and final results in accordance with the timetable which was declared previously

The Chairman of South Sudan Referendum Commission SSRC), Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil, arrived in Juba, capital of South Sudan yesterday, accompanied by a number of SSRC members and experts
SSRC media official, George Makair, said in a press statementthat the SSRC Chairman would take part in the announcement of the result of South Sudan Referendum in the states of southern Sudan
Makair affirmed completion of the operations pertinent to referendum, adding that only remained the official announcement of the initial final result that is scheduled to be on Sunday January 30, adding the Deputy SSRC Chairman and Head of the South Sudan SSCR Office, Chan Madut Reg, will announce the result of referendum in the south
He said that the SSRC chairman would declare completions of works concerning the referendum

The Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, concluded three-day official visit to the United States during which he met a number of officials at the White House, the State Department and the Research Studies Center
The Foreign Minister met during the visit with the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and discussed means for solving the pending issues and boosting of relations between Khartoum and Washington
Clinton affirmed the US commitment to normalize its relations with Sudan in a parallel way with Darfur peace efforts and implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister affirmed to the US Minister Sudan commitment to the CPA implementation and solving of the pending issues between the two partners
The minster also met in Washington the Deputy National Security Advisor, the US Representative to the United Nations Security Council, Susan Rice, the Chairman of the External Relations Committee at the US Congress, John Kerry, the Arab ambassadors accredited to Washington and Sudanese community in Washington
Meanwhile, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Khalid Musa, described the atmosphere of the dialogue between the Foreign Minister and the US senior officials as very positive and characterized by transparency
