The Minister of International Cooperation Ishraqa Sayed Mahmoud has commended efforts by the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) with regard to stability, security, preserving the social fabric as well as working seriously to terminate the concepts of war and tribalism and disseminating the culture of peace and tolerance. This came when she received at her office Wednesday the Minister of Technology and Capacity Building at the Darfur Regional Authority, Osman Ahmed Waash. The Minister of International Cooperation affirmed her readiness to visits Darfur states in the near future in order to meet the governors of the states and to confer on the best ways to support the Regional Authority and to identify its priorities.
Meanwhile, Waash said that their visit to the Ministry of International Cooperation came as part of the efforts to attract external support for implementing developmental programs in Darfur based on the strategy of the government for achieving development instead of depending on relief. He said that Darfur Regional Authority has number of ambitious projects to return life in Darfur States to its normal course by virtue of government support.
